Amish Log Tables
There are several varieties of log dining room tables that they make at the amish shop in NW Montana, where all of our log furniture has come from. All the tops on the log tables are made of solid pine panels that are edge glued and laminated, making them very beautiful. The grain of the pine is so beautiful, especially on the darker stained pieces... the seats of the log chairs and benches are made the same way.
The main difference on the log tables is the leg base. The amish made tables are all made of pine. Solid pine.
This log dining table below is an extendable one with several leaves in it. Makes it so nice for when you have company.
The one nice thing about the four post dining room table is that there is very little upkeep to it. Maybe you like to dust better than I do... but this one is just a quick wipe down and we are good to go!
When you buy any of these log kitchen tables online, they will ship them to you with free shipping, which is so nice. All you have to do is attach the legs to the table top, and it is ready to use.
We just set the top on the floor upside down... there was plenty of cardboard when we got ours, but you can also use a carpet or blanket to set it on. That way you can attach all the legs more easily, and then just flip it right side up when you're done.

This next log table has what is called a 'pedestal base' on it. Very pretty but more to dust!
The 'log trestle table' is actually what we have, and it's also the most popular table that they sell.
There is plenty of room for three chairs along each side with this table. We have a bench along the one side and chairs otherwise.
The trestle part is actually kinda nice if you are one of those people that likes to have something to prop your foot up on while you eat dinner. And as with ALL the log furniture, you never really have to worry about the kids nicking or scratching the furniture up, as it's really easy to fix with a bit of sand paper and some varnish. ... or just leave it to add character!

Rustic Log Bar Tables and Pub Tables
I'll just add info here on the log bar tables and pub tables that are available ... we don't have any of these ( YET!) but they are so lovely!
All of the pub or bar tables are 40" high so they can be used with any of the log bar stools they build. And just as with the regular log dining room tables, the bar tables have either a pedestal style base, or a basic four post base.
