Love Rustic Log Furniture Like I Do?

Living in Montana for over 18 years gave me a love for rustic log furniture and rustic home decor. Log furniture around the home is the most SIMPLE and EASY to care for. I loved it. We raised five kids and it was the PERFECT furniture to have around the home. Kids scratch or nick it? No worries. It just adds more character - or if it's too prominent, a simple piece of sandpaper and some varnish fixed it right back up. I just never worried about things like knocking over the end tables, or jumping on the VERY SOLID log beds as it was ALL so well built. And the log dressers are amazing. There is just nothing out there that compares to the durability and sturdiness of the log dresser drawers. Some of them could literally hold a kid in them without breaking the drawer slides! |
We were fortunate for a long time to live right amongst the amish community where the rustic log furniture was made, and we even cut some of the pine logs they used to build it, so it only made it extra special... kinda like we had a hand in making it somehow!
